hey Andrew...thanks much for your reply...

developments as follows:
1) yeah...the previous owner had his chance to putz around with the carb but guess what...i already stripped a screw head cause i wanted to see if that spacer was still in there...i was all set to get the needle nosed vice grips but stopped due to lack of time...long story short...since the 2nd screw i tried seems to be welded in place, i guess the carb hasn't been opened yet by any user.

2) i got new theories now, since i have been riding in the rain 2 days straight...today, (my second rain day) the bike ran GREAT with the choke all the way in...maybe the air flow is more restricted cause of moisture in the filter element...or maybe something was in a jet and has magically worked it's way out?

anyway...i just wanna ride this thing right now...(like 24 hours a day...LOL:)...but when the weather dries out and maximum air is able to get in the carb...if i still have the same problems, i'm gonna do as you say and take it on back to the dealer...either that or just get in there myself and ditch that white spacer (i will save it of course)...my trust level of dealers is way low, so i hope i can figure this out by reading thoughts like yours on this board...thanks again!!

good thing i own a lawn service...my 23 years of experience with Gravelys and old Clinton engines might help here a little i hope....LOL:)...kidding of course!!...this is the bike of the future!!
